Celebrating FE: New FE college category introduced for this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards

Ray Brogden, COO of Qualifi encourages all FE colleges to promote this among their HE L5 students. This demonstrates how quickly the HE landscape is changing, providing more choice for students in an increasingly competitive, quality assured and customer lead environment. Alternatives to the traditional 3-year undergraduate study programmes are available, fundable via Advanced Learner Loans, cost-effective and flexible. You are invited to visit Qualifi’s website to access additional information regarding our HE Vocationally Related Qualifications, available at HE levels 4 to 8 inclusive; with Top Up final year degree and masters options.

Based exclusively on student reviews, the Whatuni Student Choice Awards offer prospective students an unbiased alternative to traditional university ranking systems.

This year, in partnership with the Association of Colleges, Whatuni have introduced a new category exclusively for further education colleges. The inclusion of this award ensures that prospective students are able to gain insight into life at a variety of institutions with HE provision.

The ‘FE College’ award will reflect the changing world of higher education, enhance students’ understanding of what FE colleges do and offer colleges a chance to celebrate success.

The results are announced at the annual awards ceremony in April, and new rankings are published on the Whatuni website for the following year.

Reviews are to be submitted online by Level 5 students and above via the whatuni website before the deadline of 28th February 2018. To be included in this category, colleges must reach a minimum review threshold of 30 student reviews.
